Highlanders Football Club has announced that Kindman Ndlovu, the club’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, has retracted his resignation letter. Ndlovu had stepped down last week, citing internal strife within the club.

However, following successful engagements with the club’s leadership, he has agreed to remain in his position until a substantive CEO is appointed.

According to a statement released by the club, Ndlovu apologized to Executive Member of Finance, Nkani Khoza, and the club at large for iinconveniencs caused by the public leak of his resignation letter.

The club’s leadership has emphasized the importance of maintaining peace, tranquility, and respect for one another and the Highlanders brand.

The development comes following Ndlovu’s meeting with Highlanders Executive Chairperson, Kenneth Mhlophe, who confirmed that Ndlovu had withdrawn his resignation.

“Mr Ndlovu has retracted his resignation and apologized to the treasurer, Mr Nkani Khoza,” reads part of the club’s statement.

However, sources within the club indicate that tensions still exist, particularly over the final shortlist for the CEO position.

The board and executive remain at odds over the matter, which continues to divide opinion among Highlanders’ leadership.

Ndlovu’s retraction of his resignation is seen as a positive step towards stabilizing the club’s leadership.

The club’s stakeholders will be watching closely to see how this development impacts the overall direction of Highlanders FC.
