Pro Wrestler and Pop Culture Phenomenon, Terry Gene Bollea, globally known as Hulk Hogan, has died.He was 71.

Hogan, who brought the sport into the mainstream in the 1980s, died in the morning today. His death was confirmed by promoter Eric Bischoff, his partner in the recently launched Real America Freestyle amateur wrestling league.

According to reports, medical personnel were dispatched to his home in Clearwater, Florida, for a cardiac arrest, and he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Born in Georgia in 1953, Hogan’s career spanned decades, marked by immense success, reinvention, and controversy.
Standing 6-foot-7 and weighing 320 pounds in his prime, he captivated audiences with his yellow trunks, boots, bandana, bulging muscles, and signature moves like the leg drop.

He held the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) championship six times during his career. He also appeared in popular TV shows like The A-Team and Baywatch, co-hosted Saturday Night Live in 1985, and had his own Saturday morning cartoon, Hulk Hogan’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling.

In the 2000s, he starred alongside his family in the reality show Hogan Knows Best.
