Under fire businessman Shingai Levison Muringi was recently slapped with a 4 month jail sentence after he allegedly defaulted on performing community service.
Muringi had been convicted for contempt of court and was ordered by Harare magistrate Lisa Mutendereki to perform community service at Marlbereign Police Station.
It was reportedly discovered that Muringi was not performing community service, a development which prompted the police to issue a warrant of arrest on him.
He was then handed a 4 month sentence where he will be in custody. Muringi was previously convicted of contempt of court after he deliberately sold a car that was being used as an exhibit.
He also faces multiple charges of fraud against Rukbury Enterprise Limited and Energy Park involving a botched fuel deal.
