Dynamos coach Kelvin Kaindu believes midfielder Denver Mukamba can be a pivotal player for the team in their Castle Lager Premiership match against Scottland on Saturday. Mukamba, who has been instrumental in Dynamos’ recent resurgence, has been used as a super sub in the past few matches, and Kaindu is optimistic that he can make a significant impact if he regains full fitness.
“I’m sure he’s still got something in his legs. You could see him running into space to get the ball. We just hope he keeps up the momentum and also the discipline he has displayed. We need a player like Denver in the team,” Kaindu said.
Mukamba’s return has coincided with a revival at Dynamos under new coach Kelvin Kaindu, who joined from Highlanders last month.
Wins over MWOS, Kwekwe United, and GreenFuel have lifted them to 25 points, just three away from the safety zone.
Mukamba’s influence on the team has been evident, with fans showering him with cash after matches.
His experience and skill will be crucial for Dynamos as they face a strong Scottland side that has taken the league by storm.
“He’s a very, very important player. He’s quite influential on the game,” Kaindu added.
Mukamba’s introduction from the bench has often changed the dynamics of the game, and Dynamos will be relying on his creativity and vision to unlock Scottland’s defense.
Scottland, on the other hand, are riding high on confidence, having won their last seven matches and closing in on log leaders Simba Bhora.
Their investment in assembling a strong squad has paid off, with signings like Khama Billiat, Walter Musona, and Knowledge Musona making a significant impact.
The match promises to be an epic battle between two teams with different goals, with Dynamos fighting for survival and Scottland chasing a fairytale title in their debut season.
The stage is set for a thrilling encounter at Rufaro Stadium, with Mukamba expected to play a key role in Dynamos’ bid to halt Scottland’s momentum.
