Zimdancehall artist Takura “Blot” Chiwoniso has been given a lifeline in his battle against drug and substance abuse.

Prophet Kudakwashe Jose of Victorious Generation International Church offered him free rehabilitation during the prize-giving ceremony for the 2025 Harare Cup Clash winners.

According to Prophet Jose, Blot’s decision to follow Christ marked a significant turning point.

“We’re pleased that Blot has chosen to follow Christ and realize it’s never too late for a fresh start,” Jose said.

“He deserves the chance to go to a top rehabilitation center and return renewed. It’s up to him to accept this offer, and we hope to support more young people in similar situations,” he added.

The initiative aims to encourage more support for those struggling with addiction in the community.

Godfather Templeman, who hosted the event, commended the clergyman’s initiative, saying, “Free rehabilitation is a tremendous gift that can change lives. We need programs like this to tackle drug abuse effectively.”

Blot’s manager, Jack Radics, expressed hope that the artist would take up the offer.

“I’m happy to support him, and I believe he can benefit from this offer,” Radics said.

“It’s never too late for him to make positive changes.”

Other winners of the Harare Cup Clash, including Fortune “Mogo Vibes” Mandishona and Lady D, emphasized the need for unity in combating substance abuse.

Mandishona stressed that “we can only win this war together,” while Lady D highlighted the devastating impact of substance abuse on communities.

The winners received prizes, including bedroom suites, cell phones, and cash, during the ceremony.

Blot’s past struggles with drug abuse led to legal issues, including an arrest for possession of crystal meth in 2023, although he was later acquitted.

This offer marks a new chapter for Blot, who can now choose to accept the rehabilitation offer and start a new.

As the music industry continues to grapple with substance abuse issues, this initiative serves as a beacon of hope for those struggling with addiction.
