A Bulawayo sales manager for Varun Beverages, Esther Manunure (31), has been nabbed for allegedly stealing US11,888 from the beverages company.

Manunure, who appeard before the Bulawayo Magistrates’ Court is facing charges of theft of trust property.

Is is the state’s case that Manunure was allegedly entrusted with the company’s products for resale between September 10 and September 19, 2025 with the duty to collect and remit cash to the company. She allegedly collected US$11,888 and nothing was recovered.

Instead of depositing the funds with Varun Beverages, she is accused of unlawfully converting the money for personal use.

Following her appearance, the court granted Manunure bail set at US$100.

She was also ordered not to interfere with State witnesses and remanded to October 16, 2025, for her next court date.
