The stage is set for a thrilling weekend of football in Zimbabwe as the Chibuku Super Cup semi-finals get underway.
Dynamos, the defending champions, will take on Highlanders at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday, while MWOS FC faces off against Triangle United at Ngoni Stadium in Norton on Saturday.
According to reports, Dynamos will be without two of its key players, Denver Mukamba and Jairos Kasondo, who are serving suspensions.
“The absence of Mukamba and Kasondo will undoubtedly weaken Dynamos’ chances, but the team has shown resilience in the face of adversity,” said a football analyst.
Highlanders, on the other hand, are looking to end their prolonged cup drought and will be banking on their passionate fans to drive them to victory.
The “Battle of Zimbabwe” between Dynamos and Highlanders promises to be an electrifying encounter, with both teams eager to make their mark.
In the other semi-final, MWOS FC will take on Triangle United, with the Sugar Boys looking to leverage their big-game experience to secure a spot in the final.
Triangle United will be without Aaron Zeka, who is also serving a suspension.
The Chibuku Super Cup is Zimbabwe’s most prestigious knockout competition, with the winner earning a coveted spot in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The tournament has a rich history, and the upcoming matches are expected to deliver drama, passion, and footballing brilliance.
The matches promise to be intense and closely contested, with all four teams determined to emerge victorious and claim the coveted trophy.
