The Zimbabwe Republic Police has launched a manhunt for Venia Dumba, who is wanted in connection with the fatal killing of his girlfriend at Moses Nyoni Homestead, Munhundangwa Village.

The victim was discovered deceased on the morning of November 17, 2025, following a heated argument with Dumba the previous evening.

The incident reportedly stemmed from a dispute over the girlfriend’s missing birth certificate, which she required to apply for a passport at the Rutenga Registry Offices.

According to a public appeal shared by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the domestic argument began at approximately 9:00 PM on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

A relative present at the homestead reportedly intervened, succeeding in calming the situation down before everyone retired for the night.
However, the tragedy unfolded hours later.
On the morning of Monday, November 17, the victim was discovered lying dead on the ground outside the homestead with a visible head injury and signs of blood.

Police have confirmed that Venia Dumba was no longer present at the Moses Nyoni Homestead when the body was discovered and is currently considered a fugitive.

The ZRP has issued an urgent appeal to the public for information regarding Dumba’s current whereabouts.
