Zimbabwe’s national rugby team, the Sables, has been drawn into Group F of the 2027 Men’s Rugby World Cup, alongside England, Wales, and Tonga.

This marks a historic moment for Zimbabwe, as they qualify for the Rugby World Cup for the first time in over three decades.

The tournament, taking place in Australia from October 1 to November 13, 2027, will feature 24 teams and a record 54 matches.

While Zimbabwe is expected to face stiff competition, their qualification is a significant achievement.

Group F is considered one of the toughest groups, with England and Wales being two of the top-ranked teams in the world.

Tonga, however, will also provide a challenge, having qualified for the Rugby World Cup multiple times.

Other notable groups include Pool A, featuring New Zealand, Australia, and Chile, and Pool B, with defending champions South Africa, Italy, Georgia, and Romania.

The Sables will need to bring their best game to compete against their opponents.

Their qualification is a testament to their hard work and dedication to the sport.

The Rugby World Cup format features six pools of four teams, with the top two teams from each pool advancing to the knockout stage, along with the four best third-placed teams.

Zimbabwe’s campaign is expected to be a challenge, but their qualification is a significant milestone for the country’s rugby community.
