29-Year-Old Man Stabbed to Death at Kadoma Service Station; Police Hunt Four Suspects

Vincent Shambarume, 29, was stabbed to death during an early‑morning altercation at Marcshep Service Station in Waverly, Kadoma on Sunday 21 December 2025.

Police confirmed the murder investigation and urged the public to assist in locating the suspects.

Police statement: “The ZRP is investigating a murder case which occurred on 21/12/25 at around 0500 hours at Marcshep Service Station, Waverly, Kadoma.”

Shambarume and a companion had parked at the station waiting for it to open when four unknown individuals travelling in a grey Honda Fit arrived.

An argument erupted, escalating into a fistfight that turned deadly

“The victim, Vincent Shambarume (29), was attacked and stabbed on the chest and left rib area by four unknown suspects who were travelling in a grey Honda Fit.”

The confrontation quickly became violent; Shambarume sustained critical stab wounds and died on the spot. The assailants fled the scene.

“The victim and the suspects had an altercation, which resulted in a fistfight. Vincent Shambarume sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot.”

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, while addressing a separate case, reiterated the force’s appeal for information, urging anyone who saw the grey Honda Fit or noticed suspicious activity around the service station to report to the nearest station.

Kadoma residents expressed shock at the brazen killing, noting the service station’s usual calm early‑morning atmosphere.

Community leaders called for heightened vigilance and cooperation with authorities to curb escalating violent incidents across the region.

The investigation continues, with detectives reviewing CCTV footage from nearby businesses and interviewing witnesses.

The case underscores growing concerns over public safety in Zimbabwe’s urban centers, prompting renewed calls for community policing initiatives and faster response times.

Authorities assure the public that all leads will be pursued until the perpetrators are brought to justice.
