At least fifteen people were seriously injured late yesterday following a collision between two commuter omnibuses (kombis) along the busy Seke Road.

The accident, which involved a white Chitungwiza-bound kombi and a yellow commuter omnibus, occurred when one driver reportedly executed an illegal or reckless maneuver, leading to a high-impact crash.

According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the white kombi was traveling toward Chitungwiza with a full load of passengers when it was suddenly cut off.

A yellow kombi, which was reportedly carrying only the driver at the time, attempted to turn right directly into the path of the oncoming vehicle.

The white kombi was unable to avoid the impact, resulting in a collision that left the vehicle severely damaged and over a dozen passengers trapped and reeling from injuries.

No fatalities have been recorded.
