The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) is set to officially release the 2025 Advanced Level examination results today, Friday, at midday.

The announcement was made directly by the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Professor Torerayi Moyo, who heralded the event as a significant milestone for the integrity of the nation’s education sector.

In a detailed update posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Minister Moyo framed the release as a testament to the government’s sustained efforts in securing the examination system.

He emphasized that this year marks the third consecutive year in which Zimbabwe’s national examinations have been administered and concluded without any reported leakages of question papers or answer scripts.

The Minister described this unbroken record as a remarkable achievement for the country.

“I am pleased to announce that the 2025 Advanced Level Examination Results will be officially announced by ZIMSEC today at 12 noon,” stated Professor Moyo.

He went on to explain the broader significance of this milestone, saying, “This marks the third consecutive year in which our national examinations have been conducted and concluded without any leakages. This is a remarkable achievement that underscores the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to upholding the integrity and credibility of our Examination Systems.”

The Minister attributed this sustained success to a series of deliberate and comprehensive reforms implemented by his Ministry.

The reforms include the enhancement of monitoring mechanisms and the strengthening of security protocols at every stage of the examination process, from paper setting to marking and distribution.

According to Moyo, these systemic improvements are not isolated actions but are strategically aligned with the national development blueprint.

He connected the examination security successes to the broader national agenda, noting that the reforms are in direct alignment with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030.

The Minister said this vision strategically positions quality and trustworthy education at the very core of Zimbabwe’s development journey.

“It is the direct outcome of deliberate reforms, enhanced monitoring systems, and robust security protocols that we have implemented in alignment with His Excellency President Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030,” Moyo said.

“This vision rightly places quality education at the heart of our national development agenda.”

In his statement, Professor Moyo also extended commendation and gratitude to the various stakeholders whose efforts made the secure process possible.

He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to ZIMSEC, the nation’s educators, and all officials involved for their tireless work in ensuring the examinations were transparent, fair, and efficiently managed from start to finish.

“Let us continue to nurture an Education system that is inclusive, accountable, and responsive to the aspirations of our great nation,” Moyo urged.

“Together, we will continue to build a Zimbabwe where every learner is empowered to thrive.”

Candidates across the country are advised that they will be able to access their individual results through the official ZIMSEC online portals and platforms immediately following the official release at 12 noon today.

The release concludes the examination cycle for the 2025 academic year and sets the stage for university and tertiary education admissions processes.
