A road traffic accident along Seke Road near Delpot has left multiple people seriously injured after a private vehicle collided with a commuter omnibus and a cyclist today.

The crash occurred when a woman driving a private vehicle, heading towards Chitungwiza, reportedly lost control of her car.

The vehicle veered into the oncoming lane, first hitting a cyclist before colliding with a commuter omnibus traveling in the opposite direction towards the city center.

Police and emergency services were quick to attend the scene.

Several passengers from the commuter omnibus and the cyclist sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

This latest incident adds to a series of recent road accidents on the busy Seke Road.
