The ZimOneness Music e-gala which will be held tonight is expected to host over 30 local musicians who have reportedly confirmed their attendance to perform at an event set to be this year’s biggest online live music show, State of the Nation has learnt.
The event, which will be held at the Harare International Conference Centre will be graced by musicians from all music genres.
Big names like Killer T, Leonard Zhakata, Sandra Ndebele, Michael Mahendere, Selmor Mutukudzi and Poptain are expected to perform tonight at the event.
The gala is running under the theme, “Honouring Our Heroes, Celebrating Independence, Peace, Unity and Development in March Towards Vision 2030,’ and will be aired on ZBCTV and their radio stations.
It will also be streamed live on the internet for people to watch at the comfort of their homes.
Commenting about the event, Zanu PF’s acting secretary for Information and Publicity Patrick Chinamasa said the e-gala will be held for the whole night from 6pm until tomorrow morning.
“This is a belated celebration of our 40th independence where we will be celebrating and commemorating the lives of our departed and the surviving heroes and heroines.
“More than 30 artistes have confirmed their participation and there are raring to go,” said Chinamasa.
“The venue will be HICC, but we are not allowing public attendance due to Covid-19 pandemic requirements.People can enjoy the music from the comfort of their homes,” he said.
The gala will also provide a platform for upcoming artists to shine.
