The newly appointed Deputy Minister of Finance and Investment Promotion David Mnangagwa said he is dedicated to grow Zimbabwe into the fastest growing economy in Southern Africa through his portfolio .

Addressing journalists at the swearing-in ceremony held today, Mnangagwa said he will hold up his service under the steward ship of Finance Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube to address key areas.

“ Naturally, my mandate would come from my immediate boss Professor Mthuli Ncube who will be a delegating authority as to what duties I’m supposed to undertake.

“But would say I’m quite fortunate to be joining a financial management team that is managing through NDS1 to grow Zimbabwe into one of the largest fastest growing economies in southern Africa. It is a matter of holding up my service and adding hands to the deck of hands that have already been there, “said Mnangagwa

He said the focus of the Ministry will be aimed at addressing macro economic stability and curb inflation.
