Peacemaker Katiyo, a young entrepreneur based in Harare has developed a resort area that resembles the beautiful beaches of Dubai in the country’s capital city.

The resort area is called Crowhill beach, and it is located in Crowhill,  a residential area in the eastern part of Harare. The beach has been operating for the past 2 months, a period that has seen it gain popularity as the best place for revellers to hang out with friends and families.

Speaking to State of the Nation News, Crowhill beach owner, Peacemaker Katiyo said he was inspired by the exposure he got through traveling to various resort areas across the world to set up a beach that resembles that in Dubai and Zanzibar at home.

“I have travelled to Dubai and Zanzibar and that is where i saw their beaches.  I was inspired to take their concepts and develop them here in Zimbabwe.  It was not easy to set up but I’m happy that we prevailed. I am now eyeing to set up similar establishments in Victoria Falls and Binga,” he said.

The beach has a lot of activities which include quad bike and horse riding,  canoeing, speed boat riding and jet skiing. There is also a ground for sport lovers to play beach volleyball. Children can enjoy jumping castles and trampolines that are also available. Meals, drinks and Braai packs are also offered at the resort.

“We have developed this place to give people a perfect beach experience. So I encourage everyone to visit us and enjoy themselves,” said Katiyo
