Zimbabwe’s national soccer team, the Warriors, are set to face off against Nigeria tomorrow in a highly anticipated World Cup qualifier match at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria. The match is scheduled to kick off at 16:00 UTC, which is 6 pm CAT.

According to Warriors head coach Michael Nees, the team is ready to take on the challenge despite acknowledging that Nigeria is a formidable opponent.

“All we need is to win, and that’s our expectation. We want good results, and we’re not intimidated by the fact that Nigeria is a big team,” Nees said.

National player Knowledge Musona echoed the coach’s sentiments, stating that the team’s goal is to collect maximum points against Nigeria.

“We’re going to put in all our efforts to achieve a win and move to the next stage,” said Knowledge Musona.

The Warriors are coming off a 2-2 draw against Benin, where they managed to score two goals from behind, courtesy of Marshall Munetsi and Knowledge Musona.

However, not everyone is optimistic about the team’s chances, with supporter Munashe Kamambo calling for coach Nees to substitute Washington Arubi due to his blunders in the previous match.

“Arubi should not start the match; he should be on the substitution bench this is because he is full of blunders,” he said.
