The Zimbabwe national soccer team, (Warriors), played to a one all draw against Nigeria’s Super Eagles in a World Cup qualifier match held in Nigeria today.
Nigeria took the lead in the 74th minute through a diving header by Victor Osimhen. However, the Warriors equalized in the 90th minute through a goal by Tawanda Chirewa, securing a crucial point for Zimbabwe.
The match saw several scoring opportunities for both teams, with Zimbabwe’s Dzvukamanja striking the crossbar in the 79th minute.
The Warriors also made a late substitution, bringing in Chirewa for the injured Dzvukamanja, which ultimately paid off with the equalizing goal.
According to Kudzai Zvaguma, a soccer fan, the Warriors played their game very well, but encouraged them to utilise the remaining games to secure maximum points.
“The game was good well played Warriors only that for next time they should make use of every game by collecting maximum points,” said Zvaguma.
