The Zimbabwe Football Association President (ZIFA) Nqobile Magwizi has been appointed into the FIFA Commercial and Marketing Advisory Committee, a great recognition for Zimbabwean football leadership on the global stage.
Magwizi’s appointment, effective immediately, will see him serve a four-year term from 2025 to 2029.
The committee plays a crucial role in world football’s governing structure, responsible for offering expertise and strategic advice on marketing and commercial strategies aimed at expanding the global game and improving the experience of FIFA events.
The appointment adheres to the provisions outlined in the FIFA Statutes and FIFA Governance Regulations.
In a related development, ZIFA councillor Stan Nyachowe has also been named to a key global body, joining the Football Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Committee.
This committee focuses on the integration of technology and innovation to drive the modernization and development of the sport worldwide.
Magwizi was elected ZIFA president in January 2025 and has focused on institutional restructuring and building a stronger ZIFA bran
His new role will now allow him to apply his business and sport experience on a massive international scale.
