Zimdancehall artist Blot Grenade, whose real name is Blessing Chimanga, has taken a significant step towards recovery by admitting himself into The Matrix Camp Rehabilitation Centre.

The facility, owned by Detective Tafadzwa Chidawa, will provide Blot with the support and guidance he needs to overcome his struggles with drug addiction.

Blot’s journey to stardom was marked by several hit tracks that catapulted him to fame in the Zimdancehall scene.

However, his career took a hit after a 2023 drug-related arrest.

According to police reports, Blot was found with a 1.15-gram sachet of crystal meth, leading to his remand in custody.

This incident seemed to be a wake-up call for the artist, who has since sought help for his addiction.

Blot’s admission into rehab comes after a local clergyman, Prophet Kudakwashe Jose, offered him a free rehabilitation program.

The offer was made during the handover of residential stands to the main winners of the 2025 Harare Cup Clash.

“People of Blot’s calibre need this kind of support, and I will always do my best to ensure that he accepts the offer,” said Jack Radics, Blot’s manager.

The music industry and fans have been rallying behind Blot, urging him to stay strong and focused on his recovery.

“We are glad that Blot has given his life to Christ after realising that it is never too late for him to do so,” said Prophet Jose.

Radics also expressed his gratitude to Prophet Jose for offering Blot a chance to reboot his life.

Blot’s road to recovery will be a long and challenging one, but with the right support system in place, he has a good chance of overcoming his addiction.

As he embarks on this new chapter, fans and well-wishers are eagerly awaiting his return to good health and music.

The Matrix Camp Rehabilitation Centre will provide Blot with a safe and supportive environment to tackle his addiction and work towards a brighter future.
