The Superlife foundation recently brought relief to vulnerable families in Epworth who are struggling to make ends meet due to the Covid 19 pandemic which affected their livelihoods, as it donated groceries and basic household commodities to cushion them.

The donations were made on 18 and 25 September, and saw 60 households in Domboramwari and 60 in Rueben benefiting from the initiative.

Superlife Foundation spokesperson Takudzwa Mugandi told State of the Nation that the number of those who benefited was made up for families that were affected the most by the pandemic to a point where they can no longer afford basic foodstuff and commodities.

“The company came up with this gesture after discovering that a lot of people were driven into abject poverty by the Covid 19 pandemic as many lost their jobs and sources of livelihood during this period. So we made donations to 60 households in Domboramwari and 60 in Rueben. We were targeting people who are not able to buy food and those who are disabled with the hope that we can cushion them,” said Mugandi.

He said the foundation will continue assisting the needy across Zimbabwe, and they are expecting to pay tuition for vulnerable children and build homes for the homeless.

“This is the beginning of our charity work. As our company grows, we expect to assist vulnerable children with tuition and also build houses for the homeless. We also aim to help those who struggle to get clean sources of water by sinking boreholes in their communities,” said Mugandi.

The foundation is owned by a company called Superlife World which promotes a healthy lifestyle and wealth creation.
