Zimbabwe is gearing up to host Afghanistan for a major home cricket series, featuring a one-off Test match and a three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series, scheduled to take place at the Harare Sports Club in October and November.

This tour marks the return of Test cricket to Zimbabwean soil after a four-year hiatus, fueling national excitement and symbolizing a potential resurgence for the country’s red-ball format.

The series will commence with the one-off Test match from October 20 to 24.

This fixture comes as Zimbabwe’s first home Test since 2021, reigniting the local passion for the longest format of the game and providing a crucial opportunity for the national team to compete against Afghanistan.

Following the Test, the focus will shift to the shorter format, with a three-match T20I series slated for October 29, October 31, and November 2.
