Hip-hop artist Mukudzei Chitsama, popularly known as Holy Ten, has had a rape charge involving a minor withdrawn before plea at the Harare Magistrates’ Court due to insufficient evidence.

The matter was withdrawn before plea, meaning no evidence was led and no finding was made on the merits.

Chitsama had been facing allegations involving a minor. The State withdrew the charge after indicating there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

The withdrawal brings the criminal proceedings to an end at this stage.
