Prominent football club, Ngezi Platinum, has undergone a significant leadership change with the appointment of Amanda Nyazero as their new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This development follows the departure of Yvonne Manwa, who assumed a similar role at the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA).

The club’s media liaison officer, Roberta Katunga confirmed this appointment in a press statement, highlighting Nyazero’s impressive qualifications and experience, including a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) Degree from the University of Zimbabwe and her ongoing pursuit of a PhD in Governance.

“Ngezi Platinum Stars Football club is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Nyazero as the new Chief Executive officer.
“Nyazero takes over from Yvonne Manwa Malika, who left the club in October.” Reads the statement.

The choice of Nyazero as the new CEO aligns with Ngezi Platinum’s strategic vision of growth and development.

“Nyazero will be key in heading the club’s Secretariat, upholding the club culture, developing strategies and ensuring a holistic and sustainable development of the club as we seek to establish an institution that will outlive all of us and as we transcend to the next level of football administration.”

Amanda’s objectives will involve establishing a Women’s team within Ngezi Platinum, a move aimed at fulfilling the regulatory requirements set by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), enabling the club to participate in prestigious continental.

Ngezi Platinum recently achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first team from Mashonaland West to secure victory in the Castle Lager Premiership.
