This was revealed by Vice President Kembo Mohadi during the Post-Cabinet briefing on Tuesday where he said the country expected the arrival of the GeneXpert cartridges donated by UNICEF yesterday to help in the rolling out of COVID-19 tests all over the country.

“10 000 GeneXpert cartridges, are expected into the country today, 21 April 2020, with a further 20 000 GeneXpert cartridges being procured by UNICEF to help in the rolling out of the testing for COVID-19 to provincial and district levels”, he said

Zimbabwe has increased the number of screening and diagnostics tests country wide with a total number of 4 159 tests having been conducted in all the country’s 10 provinces as of yesterday.
