Zimbabwean model Brooke Bruk-Jackson has won the Miss Universe Zimbabwe crown ahead of 11 other contestants on a modelling contest which was held in Harare yesterday.

Her victory clears the way for her to go to El Salvador where she will represent Zimbabwe at the  72nd Miss Universe world 2023.

The first runner-up was Amanda Mpofu from Bulawayo and the second runner-up was Nokutenda Marumbwa.

The colorful event was attended by Colonel Miniyothabo Chiwenga who was standing in for the first lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa , businesswoman Zodwa Mkandla and various socialites.

In her address, Colonel Chiwenga said it was an honor for her to be invited at the event.

“It is with great pleasure and gratitude that I’m here for this prestigious event, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the invitation to serve as the guest of honour. For us to be here after 22 years shows great achievement which highlights laser focus and determination. Many thanks to Tendai for coming up with a dream and following up on it. This is good for us Zimbabweans as the winner will go on to promote our nation as a brand, let me say pageants are not beauty alone but an example that a woman should of purpose, move mountains and be a shaker. This pageant aligns perfectly with our shared vision of a brighter future,” she said.
