 A musician who was signed to US musician Jason Derulo’s record label has filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual harassment.

Derulo aged 34, is being sued by Emaza Gibson aged 25, a recording artist who was promised a deal with his imprint. The lawsuit is on the grounds that he broke off their collaboration after she turned down his advances for sex.

Emaza Gibson has commented saying the ordeal has left her shocked and greatly disturbed while the accused Jason Derulo, says the claims against him by the singer are “completely false and hurtful”.

This mouth dropping news allegedly occurred when in her case, Ms. Gibson, said that Derulo, “maliciously” reassured her success before denying her the chance. The lawsuit was then filed-on Thursday at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

She also complains of contract violations, intimidation, and assault in addition to quid pro quo sexual harassment.

“I’m at this point in my life right now, it’s very heart-breaking,” said Ms. Gibson.”l have anxiety, I’m traumatized. I’ve dealt with inhumane work situations. I’m at this point where I’m back to zero and I have nothing.”

The singer Emaza Gibson claims that she again and again found herself coerced to fraternize with Jason. However it wasn’t as simple as that because there was “explicit demand for sex-in-exchange-for-success”.

According to court filings, the two become acquitted professional and started working together in November 2021. This was after Derulo approached Ms. Gibson with an offer to sign a contract with his label Future History in August 2021.

He allegedly told her on one occasion that she would have to participate in a sex ceremony called “goat skin and fish scales,” which involves killing a goat and ingesting cocaine. Additionally, Ms. Gibson asserts that she was given “inappropriately large amounts of alcohol.”

In a statement, her attorney Ron Zambrano commented that “Derulo’s behavior toward this young artist was despicable.”

“He not only broke promises and breached contracts, but his threats of physical harm and unconscionable sexual advances toward this young woman who is just trying to break into the industry were outrageous and illegal.”

“I stand against all forms of harassment and remain committed to supporting people chasing their dream”, Derulo said in a post on his Instagram account. “I strive to live my life in a positively-impacting way, so I am deeply offended by these defamatory allegations.”
