Botswana Authorities Launch Manhunt for Escaped Zimbabwean Prisoners Involved in a Rape Case

Four Zimbabwean fugitives who escaped from Mahalapye prison in Botswana are being pursued by the Botswana Prisons Service (BPS) and Botswana police after allegedly raping a local woman while on the run.

According to Botswana Prison Services, more than three days have passed since the perpetrators’ escape.

Senior Superintendent Oagile Kojane of the BPS expressed confidence in the ongoing search efforts.

“We have not found them yet but we are confident that we will recapture them,” he said.
The authorities have revealed that the escaped men are dangerous, and have urged the public to exercise caution and report any sightings or information that could aid in their capture.

The men consists of Abraham Sibanda (26), Godfrey Moyo (29), Thabani Moyo (36) and Last Ndlovu
